What type of payment do you accept?

We accept Paypal.

 

How and when will I receive my e-book?

As soon as your order is accepted by Paypal, you will be taken to a download web page with your download URL(s) and instructions for downloading. You will also immediately be e-mailed a "back-up" download message, with the URL(s) and instructions; and a separate e-mail receipt. (Be sure your anti-spam software doesn't block these messages - add "publisher(at)goodideacreative.com" to your address book, so that you can receive e-mail correspondence from us if you need help with your e-book.)

 

Will my computer get infected with adware, spyware, or a virus from downloading my e-book?

No. Our website and files are virus-free, adware-free, and spyware-free.

Do you share my information with any third parties?

No, we do not.

Formats for our title

Do I need special reader software on my computer to open Wheelock Mountain e-books?

Our PDF e-books require that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer (Many computers come with Acrobat Reader already installed, but if yours doesn't have it, it's free to download at www.adobe.com.)

What version of Adobe Acrobat Reader do I need to read Wheelock Mountain PDF e-books?

Some of our titles require Acrobat 6 or newer (PDF6) and will not display properly on Acrobat Reader 5 or earlier. The e-book's web page will indicate whether it is a PDF6 file. If no version number is indicated on the web page for a PDF file, it can be read by Acrobat Reader 4.0 or newer.

Can I print out the e-book pages on my printer?

Our PDF e-books are designed to be read on screen, though some of the e-books have printable templates which are formatted to be printed. All of the e-books allow printing, and print with a light watermark.

Downloading e-books

What if I can't get a complete download the first time?

Your download URL is good for 3 download attempts, or 2 days, whichever comes first. If your URL expires and you have not been able to get a complete download, please e-mail us at publisher(at)goodideacreative.com and we will send you a fresh download URL and give you assistance as needed in getting and opening the complete e-book.

If you are downloading over a phone connection with call waiting, be sure that call waiting is disabled so that it will not interrupt your download.

I placed my order, but I didn't get the receipt web page with the download URL and instructions. What do I do?

When your order is completed, within a few minutes you should receive an e-mail message with a back-up download URL and instructions. Be sure your spam settings aren't blocking this message - add publisher(at)goodideacreative.com to your e-mail address book. If you don't receive the receipt, or the receipt is missing the download URL(s), or if you have any other problems downloading , please e-mail us at publisher(at)goodideacreative.com.

I haven't been able to get a complete download yet, but now when I click the download URL, it says the URL has expired. How can I get my e-book?

I think I downloaded the e-book file, but I don't know where it is on my computer.

If you did not choose a folder on your hard drive when you started the download, check your internet browser's download settings to find out what folder it puts downloaded files into by default. The downloaded e-book should be in that folder.

Opening and reading e-books

When I try to open the e-book in Adobe Acrobat Reader I get a file error message. What's wrong?

Be sure that you are using the correct version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Most of our titles require Acrobat Reader 6.0 or newer, and earlier version of Acrobat Reader will not be able to open and display the e-books correctly.

The watermark on the e-book pages displays when I read the e-book on screen.

The watermark should not display at all when you are reading on screen. Be sure you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader, and not some other PDF reader software. For instance, with Mac OSX, you may have your computer configured to open PDF files automatically with Preview instead of Acrobat Reader. In Preview, the watermark will show up black on screen instead of being invisible. If this is happening, open Acrobat Reader, then open the e-book through "file" - "open". Once you have done this, in the future your Mac will probably remember to open the e-book with Acrobat Reader.

The watermark is very dark when I print e-book pages.

Try adjusting your printer settings. The watermark should be a very light gray, though some printers may print it darkly in black and white at higher resolution. Try color or a different resolution.

Miscellaneous

I bought an e-book from you but I lost it when my hard drive failed. Do I have to purchase it again to get another copy?

No, if you loose your e-book, just e-mail publisher(at)goodideacreative.com and tell us which e-book(s) you lost, and approximately when you made the purchase. Please include your name, the e-mail address you used to place the order, and the invoice number . We'll e-mail you a fresh download URL, no charge.

Do you have an affiliate program or other program for reselling your e-books?

No. Good Idea Creative Services, the Wheelock Mountain Publications website and FuelCellStore are the only authorized vendors or distributors of our e-books.

Copying text, images and e-book files

Can I copy text and images from the e-books?

Copying any text or images from our e-books without our permission is a violation of federal and international copyright law.

Can I make copies of my e-book?

It is a violation of federal and international copyright law to sell, share or distribute copies of our e-books. You may make a backup copy for your personal use, other than that, copying the e-book without our permission is against the law.

Can I resell my e-book or copies of my e-book?

No. It is a violation of federal and international copyright law for anyone except us to sell, share or distribute our e-books or copies of them. We take the issue of piracy very seriously. We monitor the internet for pirated copies of our material and report them to the FBI (and Interpol, if international).
